Coffee · Food · Wine — Vienna
Slow moments.Beautifully made.
A room on Grünangergasse 12 that opens with the first espresso and closes long after the last glass. Fifteen dishes, ten desserts, eleven bottles — and nowhere in particular to be.

The idea
Three good things, done slowly
Coffee in the morning, a proper kitchen through the day, and a cellar that takes over at dusk. Most places pick one. We never saw the point.
The coffee is roasted dark and pulled short. The kitchen cooks from a menu that runs from beef tartare to a good cheeseburger without apologising for either. The wine list is small on purpose — eleven bottles from Bordeaux and Württemberg, all by the glass, so you can be curious without committing to the whole evening.
Nothing here is designed to be finished quickly. Tables are held for the length of the conversation, not the length of the meal.
Wine days
A different glass every day
One bottle takes the glass each day, and the kitchen sends the plate that goes with it. Marked evenings are tastings — five glasses, a long table, and a price on the door.

We are not in a hurry, and neither are you
How a bean becomes a cup, why the wine list stops at eleven bottles, and what happens in the room between eight in the morning and one at night.
